Policies and Guidelines - Food Distribution Program
UPCOMING DATES: January 3rd & 24th
(Please Read Carefully)
Service dates and nature
Food distribution takes place only on certain Saturdays of the month. Please refer to the official calendar.
This service is completely free and is made possible by volunteers and partnerships with non-profit organizations such as Epicure and Feeding Central Florida.
First-come, first-served & tickets
Food is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis using a ticket system.
A maximum of two (2) tickets per vehicle will be issued for two families from two separate households.
Each family must have a different address and phone number.
Each family representative in the vehicle must be physically present at registration.
Tickets will not be issued on behalf of absent individuals.
Volunteers must also obtain their ticket(s).
Registration and schedule
Registration and ticket distribution may begin at 9:30 a.m. or earlier, depending on demand and daily logistics.
Distribution generally begins around 11:00 a.m., but this time is not guaranteed and may start earlier or later due to logistics, weather, volunteer availability, or food delivery.
Limited capacity
Food quantities are limited.
Tickets are distributed for approximately 150–170 families.
Capacity may be reached well before 11:00 a.m.
Once capacity is reached, distribution will close, even if the scheduled start time has not yet arrived.
Arriving early is strongly recommended.
Parking
Vehicles must park only as directed by volunteers.
Saving or holding parking spaces is not permitted.
If a vehicle leaves its parking spot, the space is automatically forfeited, and re-entry to the same spot is not guaranteed.
In the case of a true emergency, approval must be obtained from the Operations Director on duty before leaving.
Once the Church parking lot is full, overflow parking will be directed to:
The parking lot across from the Church (Indian Trails Middle School), or
The north parking lot of the same school
All parking instructions must be followed.
Restricted areas
Only authorized volunteers are allowed in the service and distribution area.
All other participants must remain inside their vehicles until instructed otherwise.
Restroom access is provided.
Use of all other Church facilities is prohibited, including:
Classrooms
Offices
Indoor areas
Playground / play areas
Conduct, cleanliness, and respect
This ministry depends on volunteers.
Disrespectful behavior, verbal abuse, threats, aggressive conduct, or refusal to follow instructions will not be tolerated.
Participants are expected to help keep the property clean.
Littering, smoking, urinating, or inappropriate behavior is strictly prohibited.
Safety
For everyone’s safety:
Alcohol, illegal drugs, or controlled substances are strictly prohibited on Church property during this event.
Weapons of any kind are not permitted on Church property or parking areas.
Although Florida law allows certain forms of weapon carry, this is private property, and open carry and all weapons are expressly prohibited during food distribution.
Some overflow parking areas are located on school property, where additional safety regulations apply.
Right of refusal
The Church is a private institution and reserves the right to refuse service or require individuals to leave the premises if policies are violated or safety and order are compromised.
We collaborate with non-profit organizations such as Epicure and Feeding North Florida, which provide the donations. Everyone involved in the distribution works voluntarily, and this service is completely free. We appreciate our clients’ understanding of any inconvenience that may arise, as our goal is to serve the community with dedication and respect.
